International School of Qingdao has been named a 2025 Influential International School Future Star at the Hurun Shining Future Education Awards, one of China’s most influential education recognitions and the largest peer review–based evaluation in the sector. 

This recognition did not happen overnight. It reflects years of deliberate work: building world-class teaching teams, creating unparalleled English language support, expanding university pathways, and designing learning experiences that go beyond textbooks. Over the past several years, we have grown our academic experiences, expanded participation in arts and athletics, and supported graduates in earning places at top universities that match their strengths and aspirations. 

Equally important is how students experience learning day to day. Smaller class sizes, strong teacher student relationships, and intentional student support ensure learners are known, challenged, and encouraged to take ownership of their growth. The result is a school culture where students do not just perform, but learn, love, and lead with confidence in how they will make a difference for the common good. 

As we move toward our 30 year anniversary, this recognition feels both meaningful and timely. It affirms the foundation we have built while energizing what comes next.
