A warm welcome from our Director of Child Safety

We believe every child has a right to be protected from harm and maltreatment and that everyone has a responsibility to support the protection of children. We provide an environment where students are safe from all forms of abuse and where students can get help if they experience harm.

We seek to do this through safe recruitment practices; Child Safety Policies and Code of Conduct; regular training in Child Safety for all our staff, volunteers, and students; and two staff members in each school who are designated the role of Child Safety Specialist. Our Child Safety Specialists raise awareness around Child Safety in the school and undertake extra training to be able to respond to any concerns raised.

Well-being highlights

Counseling

Students have the support of our counselors for a range of personal, academic and social issues in group and individual settings. Topics range based on age groups and may include healthy social relationships; cultivating resilient interpersonal relationships; mental health; and emotional well-being.

English Language Support

Our goal is for all non-native English speakers to achieve a high level of English proficiency which enables them to participate in our entire curriculum. The English Language Support (ELS) department provides additional support to non-native English speaking students across our elementary and middle school.

Health Office

Students learn effectively when they are healthy and cared for. Our Health Office focuses on ensuring the health of our students proactively through education, preventation, and raising awareness for our entire community.
