Santa's coming early to ISQ - see you tomorrow!

November 29, 2024

Greetings and peace to you all.

I hope this newsletter happily informs and shares relevant updates of our school. Being the original and longest standing international school in Qingdao, China (established in 1996), we are proud of our strong tradition in providing world-class, American education within an English environment, that holistically raises up servant leaders in every vocation. Be a part of our community that loves, learns and leads!

Tomorrow – Our Christmas Fair!
Our beloved annual community event is tomorrow, Saturday, November 30, from 10:00–14:00. Come, bring your family, find a gift for yourself and your loved ones, experience the many cultural foods made by our parents, join the famous charity raffle, laugh lots, and celebrate one of the most important days of the year!

Compassion
Compassion is our character education theme for the month of December. As one of our LifePlus 9 Qualities, I’m so happy to see compassion being emphasized. As we head into December and complete the first semester of this school year, let’s finish strong by working hard on schoolwork, continuing to be respectful, and being compassionate to ourselves and each other.

Healthy Parent–Teacher Relationships
Healthy relationships are at the core of all we do. I can’t stress enough the importance of building strong partnerships with all our parents and families. We hope you receive regular communication—whether on Canvas, PowerSchool, or in person with our dedicated teachers. Knowing and understanding how our school operates starts with close teacher and parent relationships. You should have access to your child’s progress and behavior, classroom updates and news about any new or exciting activities in your child’s class, grade or course.
