Greetings and peace to you all. I hope this newsletter happily informs and shares relevant updates of our school. Being the original and longest standing international school in Qingdao, China (established in 1996), we are proud of our strong tradition in providing world-class, American education within an English environment, that holistically raises up servant leaders in every vocation. Huge Congrats! three seniors accepted to Seoul National University

As graduation season approaches, we continue to receive good news from the Class of 2025. This week, we’re thrilled to announce that three of our seniors—Gina, JK, and Edward—have been accepted to Seoul National University (SNU), often referred to as the “Harvard of Korea.” Read their full article here.

Secondary Fine Art Gala showcased student creativity

Last Friday, our high school students concluded the week with a celebration of creativity at the Spring Fine Art Gala. The event brought families together to witness the exceptional work of our visual artists, musicians, and performers. Their efforts speak not only to their individual talents but also to the dedication of our Fine Arts teachers who make these moments possible.

On Monday, our Elementary students explored the scenic beauty of Laoshan. This annual tradition builds wonder, curiosity, and shared adventure. Gratitude to our teachers and staff who guided students through a memorable outdoor learning day.

Step-Up Day fostered parent-teacher connections

Tuesday morning was Step-Up Day for incoming Grades 1–5 families. Parents heard from our Elementary and ECC Principals and had a chance to meet the teachers who will guide their children next year. These early introductions help ease transitions and set the tone for strong parent-teacher partnerships.

We invite all parents to a joyful celebration of student art and performance. The event will take place on Friday, June 6. It will feature music, visual displays, and the creativity of our youngest learners.

Dragon Boat Festival – school closed on June 2
