LifePlus高中篮球赛-满载而归

Every sports season, our athletes have a clear goal: to return as champions from the LifePlus Tournament. This year was especially challenging for our basketball teams, especially the boys, as they struggled to find their footing in the matches here in Qingdao. With the tournament weekend approaching, the pressure was mounting.

Despite having only one win before the tournament, the boys' team kept a hopeful attitude. They had made significant progress since the fall, learning from each game, growing as a team, and improving their skills. The livestream commentators noted how the boys played more as a unified team rather than relying on individual talents. They communicated well, built a strong defense and focused on the fundamentals of basketball throughout the weekend.

Their efforts paid off. With baskets from every player on the team, the boys put up a commendable performance. Losing only one game in a tough match up against the Tianjin Eagles, the boys bounced back to win the championship. Their teamwork and positive attitude both on and off the court also earned them the Sportsmanship award.

The girls' team had been strong throughout the season, with only one loss to QAIS. As the LifePlus Tournament began, they felt confident and cohesive. Starting Thursday night and charging on straight through Saturday, the lady Dolphins took out every opponent they faced, showing their strength and determination. Their toughest game was against the Chengdu Pandas in a close, low-scoring championship match.

The lady Dolphins demonstrated excellent teamwork and spirit, both on and off the court. Their constant cheering and support from the bench played a big part in keeping the team's morale high. This fantastic team spirit helped them not only win the championship trophy but also secure the Sportsmanship award.

This season, our high school athletes showed what it means to be champions, demonstrating skill, spirit, and heart. They reminded us that true victory lies not just in scores, but in how we play the game, support each other, and represent our community.
