Qingdao dolphins take Dual Championships from LifePlus Tournament

Over the weekend, our high school soccer teams traveled to Yantai to compete in the annual LifePlus High School Soccer Tournament. It turned out to be an unforgettable tournament for our Dolphins—both teams went undefeated and captured the championship titles! Even more, our girls team earned the Sportsmanship Award, a true testament to their spirit and heart.

On Friday, both teams faced LifePlus schools from Wuhan, Chengdu, Tianjin, and Yantai, rotating matches under the bright, hot sun. It was a long day, but our athletes stood strong through every challenge, refusing to let a single team take full 3 points from them. The boys team tied with Wuhan and Tianjin and defeated Chengdu and Yantai, securing the #2 seed for Saturday’s playoffs. The girls team swept all their games, claiming the #1 seed heading into semi-finals.

Saturday brought even bigger tests—and bigger moments. Our boys faced Wuhan again in an amazing semi-final, a match packed with skillful plays, strategic defense and intense physical challenges. With determination and teamwork, the Dolphins edged past Wuhan with a 2–1 victory, securing their ticket to the final against Yantai. In the championship, our boys showed incredible patience and precision. They stayed disciplined on defense, waited for their moments, and sealed the win with a beautiful 2–0 victory, claiming the boys’ championship title!

Meanwhile, despite battling through several injuries, our girls played with courage and confidence against the Chengdu Pandas in their semi-final. Their resilience not only earned them a spot in the final but also the well-deserved Sportsmanship Award, honoring the humility and respect they showed throughout the tournament. Facing the Tianjin Eagles in the final, the Lady Dolphins stayed united and determined. Captain Dana scored the match-winning goal, securing the girls’ championship title for the season!

We could not be more proud of our Dolphin athletes. They represented the spirit, dedication and perseverance of our entire Qingdao community, making every parent, coach and supporter proud. These highlights will be long-lasting memories for all of us.

On Monday morning, we celebrated with a school-wide trophy parade, where the champions proudly marched their trophies through the halls of each floor. It was a moment filled with cheers, smiles and pride for everything they accomplished.
