Connecting Through Adventure and Fun

On Friday, all dolphins enjoyed a day full of fun activities to celebrate our annual Fall Fun Day. A perfect way to start a well-deserved, one-week-long break is the Chinese National Holiday.

Junior Kindergarten - A Botanical Adventure

Junior Kindergarten embarked on an exciting exploration trip to the Botanical Garden at Qingdao Expo Park. The little ones were thrilled to discover a variety of plants, flowers, and even some fascinating insects along the way. With wide eyes and curious minds, they learned about nature and the environment in a hands-on setting. This adventure sparked their curiosity and fostered a love for the great outdoors. Kindergarten and Elementary - Diving Deep into Chinese Culture

At the International School of Qingdao, we cherish immersing our elementary students in Chinese culture, and for their Fall Fun Day, they visited the local gem, Laoshan Shuyuan. Younger students paired with older ones to explore engaging activities like ancient paper-making, tie-dye, gourd and mud-tiger painting, and a lively shadow puppet show that had everyone laughing. The day concluded with students personalizing porcelain tea cups and crafting scented sachets. This fun-filled experience not only deepened their appreciation for the vibrant local culture but also fostered meaningful connections among peers, creating a memorable day of celebration and learning.

Middle School - "Say Goodbye to Summer"

Middle Schoolers' Fall Fun Day was an exciting combination of engaging activities and delicious foods - all thanks to the Middle School Stuco Committee. With the theme “Say Goodbye to Summer,” Middle School Stuco combined nostalgic activities from their elementary days, competitive sports, and creative crafts and snack recipes to engage their peers. Highlights included making edible cookie dough, tie-dye bags, rolling Kimbap with support from PTO volunteers, KTV station, water fight, and dunk tank activities.

High School- Jumping into Fun

What better way to celebrate Fall Fun Day than with a trip to a local trampoline park? Our high schoolers had an absolute blast bouncing, flipping, and enjoying each other’s company in a vibrant, energetic environment. The fun-filled day gave them a chance to unwind, connect outside the classroom, and strengthen friendships while creating lasting memories. We are thrilled to see them embracing the joy of community!
