International School of Qingdao shines at Ping Pong Tournament

Last weekend, students from four schools gathered at the International School of Qingdao for a little friendly competition. Despite the cool temperatures, excitement was high and students from all four schools clearly enjoyed the morning.  

With nine tables running at time, athletes competed in an array of categories in both singles, doubles and mixed doubles. Good sportsmanship was evident in all of the players and coaches, even as athletes competed in fiercely close matches at times.  

The Qingdao Dolphins played incredibly well, taking home many awards from the morning.

Jessica, the Grade 8 winner for the High School Girls Singles said of her win: "This year, finally after Covid, my first ping pong match, I finally got first place, so I feel very excited." Jessica has been competing at the high school level since Grade 6, alongside her classmate William who also brought home several victories on Saturday. Well done, Dolphins!
