Staff Updates

As always, we are excited to share that the next group of teachers have arrived in China and finished their quarantine. This week it was wonderful to have Linda and Noah Kiekel back on campus after many months away, and to welcome new staff member Davina Miaw.

Mrs. Kiekel; Mr. Kiekel; Ms. Miaw

In fact, across all our schools in China, we currently have 85% of our foreign teachers back in China, and are expecting that to jump to 90% by mid-next week. We are eagerly awaiting favorable news for the rest of our staff members, both at ISQ and at our sister schools around China.

ECC/ES Spirit Week

Dear Parents,

We are so proud of all the hard work the students have put into learning so far this school year that we want to celebrate! During the week leading up to the ECC/ES Talent Show, November 23rd-27th, the ECC-G5 students and staff are invited to participate in the ECC/ES Spirit Week! Spirit Week is one way that our students can show their creativity and individuality while also promoting a sense of teamwork and class/school togetherness.

The students and teachers of each grade level will need to work together to try to win prizes the ECC/ES Principal Team will be giving out for the “Best Dressed Class” each day!

Please see the following schedule for information about how your child may participate on certain days of the week:

Date: Dress-Up Day Title: What to Wear: Examples:
Monday, Nov 23rd Crazy Hair Day Style your hair in some unusual way. The crazier the better!
Tuesday, Nov 24th Backwards Day Wear your clothes backwards!
Wednesday, Nov 25th Culture Day Wear the traditional clothing or flag colors of any country!
Thursday, Nov 26th Hat Day Wear any type of hat!
Friday, Nov 27th Favorite Friday Wear your favorite outfit to school! For example, your favorite clothes could show the color you like the best or have a picture of your favorite sport, movie, or character. Wear what you like to wear best! Students performing in the Talent Show can dress up in their performance outfits.
