9:00 am

Dear Elementary Students,

Do you love to dance and sing? Do you play the violin? Can you juggle while doing cartwheels? Then ISQ wants you to be in our talent show!

• Use your imagination! We are looking for a variety of acts: singing, playing instruments, comedy, drama, dancing, magic acts, dramatic readings…the possibilities are endless!
• Acts or performances may include any number of students – priority will be given to those that showcase more than one student.
• Each student may participate in up to 2 separate acts.
• Students must provide their own accompaniments or background tracks if needed.
• Please limit the act or performance to no longer than 5 minutes.
• Each participating student must complete a Talent Show Application and give it to their classroom teacher by Friday, September 27.

• All entrants must audition. Auditions will be held Tuesday, October 8 – Thursday, October 10 during the school day.
• Students will be notified of their audition day and time on Monday, October 7.
• Please understand that not all acts or performances can be chosen. We will strive to represent a variety of students and talents in the show.
• The list of participants will be published on Friday, October 11.

Hope to see you there!

Lao Shan Shu Yuan

September 27th

ISQ’s Kindergarten to 5th grade students will go on a Chinese cultural field trip to Lao Shan Shu Yuan on Friday, September 27th. This excellent opportunity allows our students to see the beauty of ancient architecture, walk on peaceful paths, enjoy creating art, and play historic games.

This full day trip will engage our students in learning about our host country as well as service to others. Older elementary grades will be paired with younger grades as travel companions throughout the day.

A field trip permissions slip will be going home shortly. In the permissions slip you can find more details about the field trip as well as a checklist of items you should send to school with your child(ren) the day of our trip.

Please sign and return the permissions slip by Tuesday, September 24th.
